The reason I haven’t bothered updating the website in a long time is that google has it buried deep in the results for the term affiliate programs which is what this website is about.

Would love to update the site more but it seems pointless unless I can get some traffic here and people actually reading the website. Also had to disable comments today, it was getting too annoying all the spammed comments that were sent for my approval… over 1000 pending. Comment spam is truly annoying.

Here is to hoping google can be nice in the new year so that this website is actually worth updating and having!

Merry Christmas and Happy New Years to all!

Today I was walking along a secluded beach for several hours at one of the National Parks in Grand Cayman. It gave me a lot of time to think. About how peaceful life can be. About how as people we tend to overcomplicate some things. Sometimes simpler is better. Looking back at all of the different projects I’ve had and how I’ve tried to monetize the internet… from launching a PPC search engine, to launching my own private label herbal product line, to other failed ventures… to wild successes. But what has often earned me the most money was the simplest of concepts. Websites with unique ideas. I would pay a designer $100 to launch the website, throw 5 pages of content on that website, and the website could then be gold. The simpler the better.

I will be posting more on this later. But remember, you dont need a complicated concept to strike it rich. You need a unique idea and a unique approach. Or else you can go the opposite direction and see what is all ready successful and doing well and just duplicate it. Both methods are valid. Of course if you duplicate something that is all ready there the competition will be fierce but that can be ok if you can improve on it.

I will provide some examples of these simple concepts later on.

I am pretty excited about the relaunch of dotaffiliate.  I am excited about teaching newbies and those who have been doing this for a while what the most profitable affiliate niches are. It’s crazy how much money a person can make from the comfort of their own home. You can avoid traffic congestion, the inherent limit of a normal job, such as getting paid by the hour and having to wait for a raise. Its better than regular self-employment as you don’t have to worry about hiring employees, keeping inventory and so much more.

This blog will be a combination of things.

This will be my will be my personal blog detailing my experience with the world of internet  marketing. I’ve been promoting various programs since 1999. Initially a resident of Canada I relocated to 7 mile beach in the Grand Cayman with the income that I derived from marketing.

This will be about my travels, the life of an affiliate who is living the dream. The dream of taking off and living on a beach. More to come…
